We are in a season where we can no longer make excuses for who we are, where we are, and why we are the way we are. It is time for us to move forward in faith. No longer can we live subpar lives when God has destined us to live a purpose-driven and prosperous life.
In John 6:38 Jesus said, "I haven't come from heaven to do what I want to do. I've come to do what the one who sent me wants me to do."
Jesus can identify with struggling for the ultimate call on his life, the accusers, and those there were supposed to have his back. Matthew 26:36-56 He was an innocent man but was sentenced to the cross. He knew what it was like to have people question who he was? Whose he was and what he was? Yes, he heard the murmurs and the thoughts of others.
In Matthew 26:39, "he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will." Jesus had his "moment", gathered himself, and moved in the direction to fulfill his ultimate purpose. Jesus died on the cross, rose from the dead, descended to hell to take the keys, and ascended to heaven to sit on the right hand of God. He had us on his mind. He fulfilled his purpose so that we could fulfill ours. Who are you holding up because you are not fulfilling or walking in your purpose? It's time to walk it out by faith!
How can we walk by faith? You must know your identity in Christ. Jesus knew he was God in the flesh and the son of God. There was a legion of angels that were at his command and authority, but yet he did not dispatch either in order to do the will of the Father who sent him. He put his time/work in because he knew we needed him to set the example. He knew he had to walk the crucifixion path in order to set an example for us to live a righteous life, a life in purpose on purpose. Purpose-driven.
Fix in your spirit that when Jesus hung on the cross he said, “it is finished.” Consider your destiny as finished and you are on a journey to fulfill it. Purpose minded.
Philippians 4:13; I can do all things [which He has called me to do] through Him who strengthens and empowers me [to fulfill His purpose—I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency; I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him who infuses me with inner strength and confident peace.]
Everything he said you will do, you can do it! Just walk it out. Your career, new mindset, salvation, healing, etc. Walk it out! You have been chosen. Walk it out! Everything is finished and in your possession. Walk it out! See yourself healed, promoted, prosperous, joyful, saved, and righteous. Walk it out by faith!
Jesus knew he was God. The who. Jesus said He came to do the will of his father. The why. Everywhere Jesus went he was fulfilling the will of the Father. The purpose. He knew he was the answer. The focus. To fulfill his who, the why, the purpose, and to have focus, it took faith in God to walk it out!
Prayer
Father, thank you for giving me time to come to the knowledge and understanding I was created for a purpose. I'm not here to do my will but to fulfill your will for my life like Jesus. Remove the distractions and silence the voices I hear. Let me only see the path you have destined me to walk on. Only allow my ears to hear your voice. When I become overwhelmed, disappointed, and confused, remind me of Jesus prayer in Gethsemane "Yet not as I will, but as you will." Amen
